This talk preview explores what ringdown signals can reveal about remnant black holes, how gravitational-wave observations test general relativity, and how the same data can be used to search for signatures of ultralight particles and other new physics.

About Ling (Lilli) Sun
Ling (Lilli) Sun is a Fellow at the Australian National University’s Centre for Gravitational Astrophysics and an ARC DECRA Fellow. Her research focuses on gravitational-wave data analysis and fundamental physics, including black-hole spectroscopy, ringdown, continuous waves, ultralight particles and detector calibration.
