What to expect
LISA will observe compact objects orbiting massive black holes for months or years, producing information-rich signals. This talk preview focuses on the analysis challenge: finding long-lived sources, modelling them accurately, and using their waveforms to measure black holes, strong gravity and the astrophysical environments around them.

About Lorenzo Speri
Lorenzo Speri is an ESA postdoctoral research fellow. He develops statistical and computational methods for gravitational-wave astronomy, with work spanning LISA and pulsar timing arrays. His research includes extreme-mass-ratio inspirals, waveform modelling, signal searches and environmental effects on gravitational-wave sources.
