What to expect

Compact objects are not featureless point particles: their internal physics leaves subtle signatures in dynamics and gravitational waves. This talk preview uses effective field theory and perturbative methods to examine tidal response, scattering and the way neutron stars and black holes imprint their structure on gravitational-wave signals.

About Venkata Sai Saketh Muddu

Venkata Sai Saketh Muddu is a Postdoctoral Fellow at ICTS-TIFR. He studies compact-object dynamics in general relativity using effective field theory and perturbative methods, with current work on dynamical tides in spinning neutron stars, gravitational-wave scattering and lensing, and the relativistic two-body problem.
